Verdict

Recent winners Lowestoft Playboy and Desert Lover could fight out the finish here, with preference for the first named, Bavarica should do best of the remainder. The selection was most impressive at Wolverhampton last time when beating the in form Blue Hedges a shade comfortably. He appears to be on the upgrade and with Eddie on board he must have a strong chance of back to back victories. Desert Lover is in great heart at present and made it three wins on the bounce when pipping Joe Jo Star. The handicapper may now have his measure but he could still grab some place money. Meanwhile Bavarica has been steadily improving and got placed in a competitive race last time, she should be thereabouts this afternoon. The pick of the others could be Dean Ivory's Duxford, but Lowestoft Playboy is expected to give weight and a beating to his rivals today.
