In depth

Verdict

The Tatling has been a fantastic servant to connections, but he may have to play second fiddle to LITTLE EDWARD here; Mutamared is the other to consider. The draw could be a key factor in this race and our selection does have an edge on some of his fancied rivals with his low draw. Ron Hodges's 11-year-old wasn't beaten far last time out and he should be suited by this step-up in trip. He makes plenty of appeal and we expect him to go close. The Tatling has rediscovered his form of late, but he needs to be produced with a big finish and he will need to get the breaks from stall 10. Likewise, Mutamared who has a high draw which could hinder him and it was a weak handicap he won last time out. There is no denying though that he is in cracking form and he has to be respected. Divinsky has won over this course and distance and he could be a danger to them all if he is given an easy lead, but he is arguably better at Kempton. Little Edward ticks plenty of boxes here and he can resume winning ways.
