Mount Cheiron landed a double last month that included a win over a shorter trip here when beating Zamastar but he faded badly on his latest start. Anneani also won over a mile here back in July but has looked high enough in the weights subsequently and Maverik’s recent placed efforts are misleading given he’s finished well behind the winner. SHIFT ON SHEILA posted a much better effort at Chelmsford on her handicap debut. Pam Sly’s filly has more scope than most of these and could make a bold bid with any further progress.
