In depth

Verdict

Steig, Alecia and Glenridding are three against the field in this maiden with the vote going to Steig. The selection was a fair second behind Tikraar last time out, form that sets the standard and he need only run up to that mark to win here. Alecia rates the main danger on his latest second behind Maiden Investor but he has had plenty of chances and is becoming expensive to follow. Glenridding is another with place claims on his best form but consistency is not his strong point. Of the remainder, Lily La Belle looks sure to be suited by the step up in trip and is worth a cautionary look in the market but Steig sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
