In depth

Verdict

The market should offer most clues and from a shortlist that includes Kibitzer, West Lorne and Little Lovely, we are with the first named. Kibitzer finished second in what was probably an above average race at the track and if able of showing nominal improvement, he looks the one that they all have to beat. West Lorne is a very well bred debutant from the Mark Johnston stable. A half-sister to the useful Gold Hush, she might be slightly better over further than today's trip in the future. Little Lovely steps up in trip having had two sighters over five furlongs. Silver Waters ran green on debut and is surely much better than the form figures suggest. Doric Dream probably sets the benchmark figure for the assessor with a mark of 60 already posted. There could be a few future winners among this bunch but for today, Kibitzer looks the most likely.
