In depth

Verdict

Strawberry Lolly gets the confident vote in this maiden with Scotland Yard and Top Level put forward as the main dangers. The selection is out of a prolific winner in Canada and she made a pleasing debut last year at Leicester. She was doing all her best work at the finish that day and if the market speaks in her favour tonight then this filly from the Sir Michael Stoute yard should take plenty of beating. Scotland Yard is the obvious danger as he ran better than the bare form suggested last time out at Wolverhampton behind Tempsford Flyer. He stumbled out of the stalls that day so in the end it was a good effort to finish fourth. Top Level is a well-bred newcomer and is one to note in the market, while Plush is another making her debut but she may do better in time. Strawberry Lolly may be quite useful and she gets the vote.
