Verdict

Veteran Cashel Bay took until May of this year to get off the mark and hasn't been seen since, but if he can build on that success over timber this rating would appear generous. However, with the horse's absence a real concern, we'll side with ADMIRAL RODNEY. Pam Sly's charge appreciated the step up to this sort of trip when third at Kempton, on which form he holds Jennerous Blue and Kargarann, and is very much unexposed. With the yard in-form and the likelihood of more to come he's taken to score. Cat Six is intriguing as she ran a superb race when last seen over hurdles and, even more so than Cashel Bay, translating that to the flat would make her the one to beat but like that rival she's been off for some time. Pearl is best of the rest; she holds Delorain and Follow The Dream but isn't one who relishes being involved in a battle.
