King Forever is a speculative selection over the likes of Tregarron, Keshya and Risk Free. This is a trappy affair to say the least, but King Forever is out to get the losses back after his defeat in similar company to this at Southwell six days ago. That was over seven furlongs, a trip that is far too short for him on breeding, and so the extra distance here can only help Don Cantillon's charge who has taken on better company in the past. With Eddie Ahern on board for the first time, the four-year-old, drawn in stall four, has as good a chance as any. Tregarron has gone off the boil since scoring at Lingfield last June but is on a handy mark at present, while Keshya who has been frustrating to follow in the past, shaped well enough when third here on only her second outing for Nick Littmoden last time. Risk Free is a bit of a standing dish here, and has won six time on the course to date, so it would be unwise to not give him a mention despite the fact that he has not run well on his last two starts. Hurricane Coast is fully exposed but has a chance on his old form, as does Nimello, but neither can be relied upon these days, and in a race that is nothing to get excited about, it is King Forever that is lumbered with the pick.
