In depth

Verdict

Guiseppe Verdi is the narrow preference ahead of Tutor and Plane Painter. The selection could never get competitive from a high draw at Nottingham last time out and with John Gosden sending out a better class of horse onto the all-weather these days, it could be worth taking a hint. Tutor goes straight into handicaps following victory on debut. A one time Derby entrant, it remains to be seen as whether the mark of 80 is correct. Plane Painter is the most likely frontrunner in the pack and has to be respected accordingly. Sri Pekan Two won preiously at Lingfield but failed to land a gamble at that track on seasonal reappearance. Emerald Wildnerness invariably finishes second whilst Postsprofit needs to improve. Guiseppe Verdi is still open to improvement and is given as our recommendation.
