Verdict

Boldini gets the tentative vote in this trappy affair, with Archie Clarke and Whirly Bird the pair we fear the most. The selection hails from the Stef Liddiard yard and was a fair third behind Courant D'Air over hurdles last time. He is tried on the flat here and if he handles the surface he could go well at a price. Archie Clarke is a well-bred type and could be capable of making a winning debut against some very moderate rivals. The market should be monitored for clues regarding his chances. Whirly Bird was a fair third on her debut at Bath when she ran very green behind Radish. She is sure to come on for that run and she could be capable of making the frame. Rambo Blue is from a shrewd yard so is another to consider, but for the winner we return to Boldini who has shown a fair level of form over hurdles and he may be capable of translating that to the flat.
