Kabuku, Khana Ras and Hurstpierpoint form the shortlist in this claimer and narrow preference is for Kabuka. The selection finished down the field at Yarmouth last time but that was in a nursery and in this grade he has to be worth a chance. He isn't ideally drawn but he should be too good for his rival in this grade and he is worth chancing. Khana Ras finished in mid-division at Lingfield last time but this slight drop in trip should suit and from a decent draw he should give the selection the most to think about. Hurstpierpoint was well beaten in a better race than this last time and she has to prove she sees out this trip so she has a few questions to answer. Raines Boy was well beaten on his debut and he will need to have come on considerably for the run if he is to figure at the finish here. This is a race without much strength in depth and Kabuku could prove tough to beat.
