In depth

Verdict

Quantum Dot's win at Kempton came in a Class 7 event and he'll find this tougher raised 4lb. The veteran Invincible Lad finished a close-up fourth at Bath last time but he has to race off a 6lb higher mark on the all-weather and hasn't won since 2009 so VIRILE gets the vote. He went close when second here during the week ahead of Rat Catcher and may finally be ready to open his account. Fortinbrass has tumbled down the weights this year but has yet to show any benefit.
