In depth

Verdict

The veteran Sporting Boy was second last time at Market Rasen but never looked like catching the winner. Ronava is having a first run under Rules for Richard Newland but Fingerontheswitch is back in the right grade and Bestwork was rallying when falling at Chepstow. Charles Byrnes has sent over Kelso second Alto Esqua on another raid but the novice SHOAL BAY can only improve on his second at Kempton, especially now upped in trip.
