In depth

Verdict

Absolut Power gets the confident vote to open his account over hurdles with Lake Merced and Time Bandit rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second behind Phar Out Phavorite in a handicap last time out. This looks easier and under conditions that suit he need only run up to that mark to score. Lake Merced rates the main danger as he is taking a big drop in class and although his form leaves him with a little to find he is from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market. Time Bandit is another worthy of respect as he is another from a top yard and is a Luso gelding out of winning hurdler Over The Green and will not need to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Of the remainder Uncle Al has shown a modicum of ability in better races and is another with place claims but for the winner we return to Absolut Power whose form looks rock solid.
