In depth

Verdict

A competitive handicap for the track which sees Heroes Or Ghosts bidding to follow up last month’s course and distance victory off a 6lb higher mark. Clubs Are Trumps has also won over track and trip while Dr Robin won over hurdles here in 2015, though needs softer ground than he’ll get today. Dawnieriver won four times last season but has disappointed the last twice. BENEFICIAL JOE is still learning over fences but was travelling well enough when over-jumping and falling at Uttoxeter last week. The fact that he’s turned out again quickly is encouraging and he has more scope than Best Boy Barney and Mahlers Star. A Tail Of Intrigue is hard to catch right but is due a good run.
