In depth

Verdict

Nortonthorpe Lad can defy a seven pound penalty to continue his trainers purple patch with both The Snail and Tayman worth noting in the betting market. The selection had a string of seconds to his name before winning at Newton Abbot on Monday. This is a quick reappearance but connections are keen to take advantage of what could be a lenient mark so therefore he looks the right horse to side with. The Snail will pose as the biggest danger after failing to live up to his name when scoring at Uttoxeter on only his second outing. He showed improvement fro his debut and could be well capable of winning off his new handicap mark so is worth noting in the betting. Tayman has more experience than most and has hit form of late. He has not been seen out for a couple of months but had run well at both Worcester and Wetherby in May and another big run can be expected. A tricky race to call, but for the winner we return to Nortonthorpe Lad.
