Very Special One deserves to get his head in front having been placed in all three starts this term but has harshly been raised 6lbs for his effort last time and he probably needs to improve again so a chance is taken with Rookery Lad, who is preferred to Tiger Tips Lad and Jack Fuller. The last mentioned has claims on the form shown when successful at Leicester last month but that was on a soft surface and he may struggle to reproduce that form on today's faster ground. Lord of The Hill has given little cause for optimism in two starts since June, while Haile Selassie has more to do off his new mark than when scoring over two miles at Bangor last time. Tiger Tips Lad has not progressed as much as may have been expected but is dropping to a fair mark. However, preference is for Rookery Lad who has also dropped to a decent mark and has conditions to suit today.
