Verdict

Hopefully all 16 will stand their ground for each-way punters, especially as there are a few potential improvers on show. One such contender is Richard Hannon's AUTHORITARIAN who makes a quick reappearance after a career-best showing at Brighton last week when a rather unlucky-in-running third in an ordinary seaside handicap. She may prefer this more galloping seaside track and the valuable 7lb claim of Willie Twiston-Davies could prove decisive. Archina was much improved last time too when improving considerably to score at Chepstow and further progress can reasonably be expected, likewise from Adverse, being brought along very steadily by Michael Bell. Collectable completes the shortlist.
