In depth

Verdict

Dubara looked set to land a Salisbury handicap at this level but couldn't quite get to Billesdon Bess and has gone up 4lb. FIRST VOYAGE, a maiden winner at Nottingham in October, started favourite on his reappearance at Haydock but found the extended 1m3f taxing his stamina. This looks ideal and with the run under his belt he can get back to winning ways. Rotherwick has won on the track and also over the trip though he's stepping up slightly in grade after being beaten at Nottingham. Morning Suit is dropping down in class after a fine run behind Examiner at Salisbury though he was receiving a stone from the winner. Interconnection couldn't quite cope with Zzoro at Newmarket but was conceding 6lb to the winner and probably found the ground too soft. Omeros was returning from a long break at Haydock a month ago and ran well and the Chelmsford maiden winner could be well handicapped.
