Verdict

Clive Brittain's Mastership makes limited appeal on his debut in what appears a decent race and a better bet looks to be Vital Equine, who is preferred to Blue Madeira. The selection looked useful made a winning debut at Newcastle last month and is taken to follow up here. Cheshire Prince stepped up on debut form when landing a course and distance seller last time but this looks tougher, while Mick Channon's Yerevan may want a softer surface to show his best form. Christine Dunnett's runners here always warrant respect and Breckland Boy is no exception although he would need to step up on the form of his first effort to trouble the judge and of more interest may be recent Ayr winner Blue Madeira. Vital Equine created a favourable impression at Newcastle though and is the obvious choice to go in again.
