        Verdict

        An unappetising contest as evidenced by the 9-7 allocation of topweight to Porteus based primarily on a fair second to Smugglers Gold in a Windsor seller. He has shown little since whilst Kitty Brown was well behind the selection in that Windsor contest and is now equipped with a first-time visor to sharpen her up. Both are taken on with RED DAKOTA, Alan McCabe's Clodovil filly was only eighth of 11 at Thirsk last time behind Love In The Desert over the minimum trip but the form of that contest is working out extremely well. She is worth taking a chance with here upped to 7f for the first time on the back of that acceptable effort. The remainder cannot be supported with confidence on achievements to date.
