In a very lowly contest Xcess Baggage should have too much speed for Dark Shah and Notty Bitz. From the inform Willie Haggas yard, Xcess Baggage drops into selling company for the first time and this Thirsk maiden winner will take all the beating. Dark Shah is returning from a summer break and although he is no world beater, this does represent a drop in class for Andrew Balding's gelding. Notty Bitz had some terrific two year old form, including a victorious run in a competitive Pontefract nursery, and if he can return to that sort of form he will go close. Xcess Baggage is the selection, with Dark Shah and Notty Bitz expected to fight for the places.
