    Verdict

Raucous has been thereabouts since scoring at Goodwood in May but remain 9lb higher. EASTERN IMPACT (NAP) is preferred back on Turf as he finished a close-up second at Newmarket on his penultimate start and Richard Fahey’s charge should make a bold bid on that form. Victory Angel also ran well at Newmarket earlier though struggled in the Wokingham at Ascot last time while Hart Stopper went close in a lower grade at Headquarters recently but Erissimus Maximus makes more appeal at this level with Saryshagann hard to fancy.

    Formwatch

Raucous 12-1 (9-9) Always prominent, ridden to challenge over 1f out, kept on and every chance final furlong, just held near finish, 2nd of 13, 1/2l behind Solar Flair (9-10) at Newcastle 6f hcp (2) pol in Jun.

Victory Angel (IRE) 14-1 (9-0) Raced towards far side, always behind, 22nd of 28, 8 1/2l behind Bacchus (9-6) at Ascot 6f hcp stks (2) gf in Jun.

Eastern Impact (IRE) 8-1 (9-6) Mid-division, headway over 1f out, never on terms, 4th of 14, 3 1/2l behind Copper Knight (9-2) at Newcastle 5f hcp (2) pol in Jun.

Hart Stopper 16-1 (9-11) Awkwardly away and slow into stride, in rear, ridden and ran on strongly final furlong, not quite reach winner, 2nd of 10, hd behind Buridan (9-5) at Newmarket 6f hcp (4) gf in Jun.

Saryshagann (FR) 12-1 (9-10) Close up on far side of group, driven and lost place over 2f out, soon behind, 7th of 8, 13 1/4l behind Florencio (9-6) at Newcastle 7f stks (4) pol in Jun.

Erissimus Maximus (FR) 4-1 (9-1) Close up, pushed along halfway, weakened final furlong, 6th of 7, 6 1/4l behind Justanotherbottle (9-9) at Nottingham 5f hcp (3) gd in Jun.
