    Verdict

BOERHAN was very green at Newbury so did well to get up on the line and dead-heat with the more-experienced Sheila’s Showcase. He holds some fancy entries and will know more today so can defy a penalty and preserve his unbeaten record. Murray River is a likely improver and Luca Cumani’s two-year-olds usually need a run so Chelmsford third Felix is interesting. Derby entry Abwab will be one to watch over middle-distances next year while Capla Crusader is a brother to winners over 6f and 7f and also worth a second look.
