Verdict

We finish with another competitive race and ICEMAN GEORGE gets the vote ahead of Sharp Sovereign and Mystic Touch. The selection is put forward in the hope he can win two on the bounce after winning nicely at Windsor on his latest start. That form is decent for the grade so a big run is expected from the horse who has gone well here before. Sharp Sovereign is another who won his latest start but may be slightly flattered by the result as he got an enterprising ride from today's jockey. However, he's clearly in form and cannot be discounted in this grade. The most intriguing horse in the race is Mystic Touch who has the services of Jamie Spencer today. This horse is certainly better than this grade but is very quirky. If Spencer can get a tune out of the Andy Haynes runner he could go well at a nice price. Strike Force and Jiggalong are others to note but Iceman George gets the nod in a tough finale. Previews by Declan Rix
