In depth

Verdict

Lapilli beat a poor bunch at Wolverhampton in March and started a short-priced favourite for a Windsor handicap in May but ran poorly and hasn't been seen since. Indian Tinker has only won twice but one of those victories was over the track and trip and he's been running well enough recently to be in the places. The three-year-old NOBLE ACT has improved with every run and came with a late burst to lead right on the post at Leicester. She has been handed a 3lb rise but looks progressive enough to handle the extra. The veteran Burning Thread has won seven races on Turf and from higher marks than this so it would be no surprise to see him gain another success. Willow Spring led for a long way at Bath on Saturday but faded and is out of the handicap.
