Wicked Lady has just recently returned from almost twelve months off the course with two pleasing efforts and can make it third time lucky here at the main expense of Silent Applause and Astrolibra. Given the fact the selection hung badly left last time, going left handed here should suit but reservations exist with regard to her temperament. She has proven herself adaptable on an easy surface though and can gain her first victory here. Silent Applause is an extremely consistent sort but has yet to get off the mark in 16 attempts. He has been running very well in better races than this however, his ability to handle the ease in the ground is the concern. Astrolibra has been dropped 2lb from her last two outings and while she is consistent, she is one paced. Baan returns to the track following 221 days off the course. He has posted a victory with an ease in the ground and if the market speaks in his favour he should be watched, with at least the future in mind. Wicked Lady is the selection to land it.
