Verdict

Sparkling Eyes gets the call ahead of Mambo Spirit and Camissa. Sparkling Eyes comes here fit following a good Ripon six-furlong return. She has speed enough to be effective at today's trip and, with her sharpness viewed as an asset, she can go well. Mambo Spirit ended last season with two good wins and then a defeat off a mark of 85. He races from 82 today and has to be respected. Camissa's form tailed off after some promising earlier efforts last season but a return to those kind of efforts would make her a player. Racing Stripes is another whose form tailed off after early promise, while Bookiesindex Boy holds claims if being able to replicate his all-weather form on Turf. Overall, though, we will stick with Sparkling Eyes.
