Verdict

It was no surprise to see Mr Win hit with a 12lb rise in the weights after dotting up at Lingfield last month. He should still be thereabouts but EXCEEDER is just preferred. He's been kept to 6f and shorter so far but his breeding suggests this longer trip will bring improvement from Marco Botti's colt. Desert Ranger, Tyrsal and Uprise all won their penultimate starts at this track but failed to cope with a rise in the weights last time and Tommy's Secret may prove a bigger danger off his current mark.
