In depth

Verdict

Capla Berry easily won a 7f handicap here then defied an 11lb rise to complete a double in a better race at Doncaster. Both races were over 7f and she was in touch when unseating her rider over that trip at Newbury so may not be finished winning yet. After a comfortable victory at Redcar, Harry George looked to have an easier task when dropped in class at Musselburgh but had to battle and is up another 3lb. Libretti has only raced on Turf once, landing a fast-ground handicap from Robert Guiscard, who runs earlier. She almost defied a 6lb rise at Kempton but has gone up another 5lb. GLOBAL ESTEEM was having his first start since January and making his handicap debut when staying on over 7f at Sandown last month. Providing he handles the conditions, he will prove hard to beat with normal progress. Casina Di Notte is reasonably consistent and has form on soft ground on this track.
