          Verdict

          A decent opener here with Swynford Pleasure the selection to outpoint plenty of winning rivals, including Gaelic Roulette and Sovereign Dreamer, and complete a hat-trick. John Hetherton's mare has been in cracking form, yet runs off a mark of 52 here, plus a 5lb penalty for her Ripon win on Saturday, which still gives her every chance of following up. With trip and ground to suit, the seven-year-old can maintain her decent form off a good racing weight. Sovereign Dreamer is another to have been in tremendous form, the colt taking advantage of a drop in the weights to land successive three-year-old handicaps over this trip at Ripon and Newcastle. On the same mark of 75 here for his latest win, he will be hard to beat, but he has to give plenty of weight to the selection and that may just prove to be his undoing. Gaelic Roulette looks to be best of the rest here, but she may well now be exposed after also claiming back-to-back wins at Thirsk and Kempton. The Turtle Island filly has gone up 7lb for those two successes and was hard ridden to win by a short head last time, so the extra weight is not going to help and she may have to settle for a place in what is a competitive affair, and one in which Swynford Pleasure gets our vote.
