Monotype has been competing in better races than this and remains unexposed, but has questions to answer after a disappointing effort last time, while Nakeeta looks held by the handicapper at the moment. Magic Circle was progressive before being outclassed in the Queen Alexandra and deserves another chance in a more winnable contest, but preference is for the Godolphin entrant, GALIZZI. He was hampered in the Ascot Stakes on his second run for Charlie Appleby, but prior to that had looked impressive when taking a similar race to this at Goodwood. He’s relatively lightly raced as a stayer and will like the fast ground.
