    Verdict

VADREAM (NAP) wasn’t disgraced in the 1000 Guineas before finishing a creditable third in the Jersey Stakes over 7f in soft ground at Ascot. Charlie Fellowes’ filly faces an easier task today and is preferred to stablemate Onassis, a Listed winner over 7f last year. Light Refrain finished a long way behind the selection at Ascot having earlier beaten Last Empire in Listed company at Nottingham. The latter is one of several looking for a return to form including last season’s Group 2 winner Dandalla and Final Song, who won a Group 3 at Meydan back in March.
