In depth

Verdict

Putra Sas created a favourable impression when chasing home State Dilemma on his Newbury debut and is sure to be a popular choice to go one better here but narrow preference is for Sun Of Speed. Amanda Perrett's colt stepped up on his debut effort when finding just Marcus Tregoning's Elshadi too good in a Beverley maiden. There should be more to come from the son of Desert Sun, who has the benefit of a draw in stall four. Putra Sas, who holds Liquidate on Newbury form, obviously has to be respected but has been done few favours in the number 11 box. Luca Cumani's Redi should be better suited by the faster surface than at Haydock last time and is worthy of a mention, along with Michael Bell's Stylish Sunrise, who should do better than at Newmarket on his debut. However, Sun Of Speed holds solid claims and gets the vote.
