Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute's Eleanora Duse ran creditably on her reappearance in a Ripon handicap last month when chasing home Monterosso and she has claims with the yard's runners beginning to hit form now but she needs to improve dramatically to win this and get the better of AVIATE, who is preferred to Cabaret. Aidan O'Brien's filly did not seemingly show her true running in the Prix Marcel Boussac in October on her latest start but earlier form as a juvenile gives her solid claims and the yard is really hitting form now so she has to be strongly considered. The opposition does not look as strong as would have been expected for this Group 3 race with Mark Johnston's Bikini Babe having been well held in this grade in Sandown's Classic Trial last time and Jim Bolger's Gold Bubbles only beating one home in a race at The Curragh. Red Fantasy made a highly encouraging reappearance when narrowly beaten by Marie De Medici in the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket at the beginning of the month and she rates one of the main dangers to the selection, Aviate. Henry Cecil's filly won well on her only start as a juvenile when landing a Kempton maiden and followed up on her return in a conditions race at Ascot last month, giving every impression that there would be more to come over the longer trip that she tackles today for the first time.
