In depth

Verdict

Acklam Express won a Listed contest here on soft ground in August, when WINTER POWER (NAP) was beaten three lengths, but was well below that form when a long way last behind that rival in the Group 3 Cornwallis at Newmarket. He was in excellent form at Meydan earlier this year and has a fitness advantage over the selection but Tim Easterby's filly was so impressive at HQ that she's expected to take high rank amongst sprinters this campaign. Atalis Bay was a long way behind in the Cornwallis and will need to improve from his victory at Nottingham. Dexter Belle had obviously made great strides over the winter as she made all for a very easy victory at Pontefract last month while Internationaldream led for a long way in a 6f handicap on the same card.
