In depth

Formwatch

Smart Predator Faces a tough task under top-weight and would prefer faster ground.

Coastal Bluff Broke a long losing sequence when taking a decent Handicap at Haydock back in May but has shown little in two outings since, others preferred.

Tadeo Disappointed last twice but it would be no surprise to see a return to form here, ran well over course and distance last month and one to consider.

Eastern Trumpeter Ran his best race for some time when winning here back in June, however failed to reproduce that form last time out.

Atlantic Viking (IRE) Another who failed to reproduce last time out, but would hold strong claims on his effort in the Gosforth Cup at Newcastle last month, one to consider.

Night Flight In and out performer but has shown a liking for this course and could go close on the best of his form.

Marnor (USA) Yet to sparkle this season and best watched.

Zuhair Knocking on the door of late and should get the cover he needs here; he is effective at both five and six furlongs and should not be ruled out to quickly.

Laurel Dawn Very speedy but may be a little high in the weights for now.

Absent Friends Has ability but the fact he has only won once from 18 attempts is off-putting, can also lose ground at the start and others preferred.

Elvington Boy out of form and easily passed over.

Wilson Blyth Overall profile not convincing and others preferred.

American Cousin Highly tried this season and may find a few too good here.

Blessingindisguise Best when able to dominate, but should find trip and going to his liking, broke a long losing run at Newcastle recently and one to consider.

Anthony Mon Amour (USA) Another who likes to make the running but may set the race up for something else.

Sharoura May better over six furlongs on faster ground.

Honesty Fair Won over course and distance last August, however does not come here in the same form and is best watched until signs of a revival.
