Verdict

Speed from the gates is an essential requirement on the Knavesmire and there will be no let up if some of these perform to the top of their capabilities. And Talbot Avenue is taken to benefit the most from the likely strong pace, with Kathology, Brave Burt and Piccled amongst the principle dangers. The five-year-old is best over a truly run five furlongs when the ground is riding fast, and with the assistance of Kieren Fallon, he looks to have a lot in his favour after a couple of eye-catching runs in defeat earlier in the season. Kathology is also capable of going close if he consents to put in something like his best, but as that cannot be guaranteed, so it may pay to have an each way saver at best with him. Brave Burt and Piccled will come into the equation if there is any deterioration in the ground and support for either should be noted. Artie and Charlie Parks should also not be too far away, whereas Bishops Court, who gets on well with Frankie Dettori, has got to be considered a big threat to all - even though he needs everything to drop just right and may just need another run to put him spot on.
