In depth

Verdict

Despite running green, All Nines shaped most promisingly with a staying-on third over 5f on his debut behind the useful Fovant at Newbury and will appreciate the extra furlong. Winisk River was narrowly denied a winning bow at Newmarket by Masterpoint and should make his presence felt along with Cumbrian Venture who has been crying out for this trip. Mark Johnston's newcomer Westlander, by Gone West out of a French Listed winner, has to be respected.
