In depth

Verdict

He would probably prefer a stronger pace in a race of this nature and the penalty isn't ideal, but it is still impossible to ignore the claims of SOVEREIGN DEBT in this race. Ruth Carr's charge has been an absolute hero so far this season, winning two Group races and didn't enjoy a perfect passage in his one slightly disappointing performance, at Ascot last time. With that run forgiven he is taken to beat a group of talented horses who for the most part can't be relied on, none more so than Mondialiste , who would be right there on his best form but perhaps can't be trusted to produce it, and Make Time , whose third to Beat The Bank at Goodwood last time looks like good form.
