Verdict

The Gosden yard sent out last year’s winner and the progressive Sweet William has leading claims. He’s due to be raised by 4lb more than today’s penalty having won at Goodwood last time when Adjuvant and Euchen Glen filled the places. Frankie is back on board Absurde having finished runner-up at Ascot in June while stablemate Jackfinbar is partnered by William Buick. Ryan Moore and Real Dream finished third here in May behind Scampi and the latter arrives fresh from winning a Shergar Cup race at Ascot while Live Your Dream returned to winning ways at Newmarket. Yashin has landed a Group 3 since last seen in a handicap but SCRIPTWRITER is the sporting selection. The latter finished in front of both Get Shirty and Berkshire Rocco when making Hamish pull out all the stops in a Group 3 over track and trip and Milton Harris’ charge hasn’t stopped improving yet on that evidence.
