Tyson Fury is 'in trouble' when he takes on Wladimir Klitschko, according to the world heavyweight champion's trainer Johnathon Banks.

Fury (24-0-KO18) begins his build-up in Dusseldorf on Monday ahead of taking on WBA Super, WBO and IBF king Klitschko (64-3-KO53) and Banks, who has been overseeing the Ukrainian's preparations in Austria, warns the challenger is in for a rude awakening.

The American said of Fury: "He's talking the talk. I honestly think he's talking like this to get under Wladimir's skin, is it good for him? I don't know.

"Will it be bad for him in the fight? Yeah it will. We'll see, but I do believe he's in trouble."

Banks took over as Klitschko's head coach in 2012 following the death of the legendary Emanuel Steward but explained the pair have known each other a lot longer.

Tyson Fury's antics may earn him an early initiative against Wladimir Klitschko, says Glenn McCrory

Banks added: "You've got to understand this comes from a long relationship between him and I going back to 2004. At one point we ate breakfast together, we ate lunch together and we ate dinner together.

"This was before he had a chef, before security guards come around, before a lot of different things, it was me and him. That's why even I tell him, I get so excited to see where he's at today.

"I would put Wladimir and Vitali together. I don't think they'll be appreciated for what they have done until after they've left the sport. Once they leave and the titles are being passed around like turkey on Thanksgiving, nobody will know who is champion this week because it will change next week.

"In my view, of course [Wladimir is in the top five heavyweights of all time]. People can ignore it while it's going on but after a while, the records speak for themselves."
