Gary Anderson secured his place at the UK Open with a superb 6-1 win over James Wade in the final of qualifier four in Wigan.
The Scot is yet to win a match in the Premier League this year, suffering a second straight loss against Phil Taylor on Thursday, but he appears to be finding form after recovering from illness and averaged 106 against Wade.
After breaking Wade in the opener, Anderson was inches from completing a 160 checkout before returning to take the leg for a 2-0 lead.
Wade then closed the deficit to one in the next, but Anderson reeled off four legs in a row, including a 86 checkout, to clinch victory and the £10,000 top prize.
Anderson had earlier claimed a semi-final victory over Benito van de Pas, who had edged out Michael van Gerwen 6-4 in the quarter-finals.
Robert Thornton and Raymond van Barneveld both suffered early exits, with the Scot losing to Dutch youngster Jeffrey De Graaf, while 'Barney' was beaten by Joe Cullen.
