Shrewsbury striker James Collins was relieved to get back on the score sheet after his strike earned a 1-0 victory over Norwich.

The 23-year-old's second-half header secured the Shrews' passage to Round 4 of the Capital One Cup for the first time since 1987. The goal was Collins' first in eight matches, and he felt it had been a long time coming. "I'm just happy that it has come against such a big side, and that it means so much to the players, the fans and the club," Collins told the club's official website. "The lads were all buzzing for me because they knew how frustrated I was getting. The crowd were always with me before and since I've been back as well, so it's really pleasing. "I was just happy with the win to be fair and to get our name in the next round of the draw." The striker said his side deserved the win against their more illustrious opponents. "We looked like we were threatening to score every time we went forward, and I didn't think they created too many chances," he said. "We more than matched top-quality opposition. We need to go into Saturday now with the same attitude and get the three points."
