Paul Casey has 'unfinished business' ahead of Safeway Open

Paul Casey will go into this week's Safeway Open with "unfinished business" despite his fine end to last season.

The Briton is up to 12th in the world rankings after finishing the 2015/6 campaign with successive runner-up spots and fourth place at the Tour Championship.

All that was missing was a first PGA Tour win since 2009, and Casey hopes the challenges of the North Course at
Silverado Resort and Spa will help him end that wait.

"It's fantastic," he said on the eve of the Sky Sports live event. "You have to position your golf ball really well, and obviously you have to hit it straight.

"Positioning second shots on the greens in the right spot is going to be key because the greens have a lot of pitch to them, a lot of slope. And I think, hopefully it does, but I think it suits my game."

Casey last lifted a Tour trophy at the 2009 Shell Houston, and he said: "Hopefully that good run I had can continue because I played some great stuff.

"I feel like I have unfinished business for this year, great golf but didn't get a win. So I'm still looking at trying to correct that.

"The win would be nice, but I think deep down it's more satisfying and there's more gratification playing the golf I've played recently and not getting a win than sneaking one."
