World No 1 Jason Day heads to this week's PGA Championship looking to defend his title, having secured a maiden major in record-breaking fashion last time around.
Heading to Whistling Straits having previously posted nine top-10 major finishes without ever reaching the winner's circle, Day set a new major championship record with his winning score of 20 under par.
The Australian followed an opening-round 68 with a five-under 67 in a weather-delayed second round to get within two of midway pacesetter Matt Jones.
Day's birdie-filled 66 on Saturday saw the-then world No 5 take a two-stroke lead in to the final day, where a fast start set him on his way to a dominant victory.
Playing alongside reigning Masters and US Open champion Jordan Spieth, Day made an early birdie before matching the American's back-to-back gains from the fifth.
A 50-foot birdie at the seventh extended Day's advantage, only for him to drive his tee shot in to sand and drop a shot at the next.
As Justin Rose's and Branden Grace's challenges both drifted away, Day picked up a stroke at the 11th and added another from 10 feet at the 14th after a superb approach from a fairway bunker.
Four up with four to play, Day bounced back from failing to get up-and-down from the 15th rough to post a two-putt birdie at the next.
Day safely two-putted from distance to match Spieth's par at 17 and closed out a memorable victory with a cast-iron par at the last.
