Chicago White Sox's Danny Farquhar critically ill after suffering brain haemorrhage

Chicago White Sox pitcher Danny Farquhar remains in critical condition in hospital after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Farquhar passed out in the White Sox dugout after pitching in the sixth inning of the their home game against the Houston Astros on Friday.
The White Sox confirmed on Sunday that the 31-year-old had undergone complicated brain surgery and vice-president Ken Williams said he was in a "stable but critical condition" at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
"He's a fighter, and he's in the fight of his life right now,'' Williams told USA Today.
"They had to do another surgery, cracking his skull open, and putting a clamp on it. My God.
"This certainly shows the fragility of life and how we take every day for granted. And it can change in a heartbeat. Literally.
"His wife and mother were at the game that night, and by the time they got to the clubhouse, he was already in an ambulance heading to the hospital. Can you imagine what they went through, and are still going through?''
