Stephen Graham was in sensational form as he told Soccer AM about his new mate Leonardo DiCaprio!

Someone is going to have a bad back once they finish picking up all the names dropped by Stephen Graham in the Soccer AM studios on Saturday! Having already starred in Snatch, Gangs of New York and Public Enemies alongside the likes of Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale, Graham will next be seen in legendary director Martin Scorsese's HBO TV series, Boardwalk Empire. The brilliant British actor, who plays Al Capone in the series, was in sensational form as he revealed how DiCaprio - who he starred alongside in Gangs of New York - helped get him a part in Public Enemies: "He was having dinner with (director) Michael Mann and he said to him 'I think you should look at him, he's a really good actor' so he watched This Is England and things sort of went from there," he told Soccer AM. "But yeah, he's a good mate... drop that name! He's a really good lad and very down to earth," he added.

Tape

After the initial suggestion from DiCaprio, the Liverpool fan was then asked to send in a tape of himself for the part, so he asked his wife to film him pretending to rob a bank in their living room, using his sons plastic golf club as gun! It obviously did the trick though, because shortly after he was cast alongside Christian Bale and Johnny Depp in the American gangster movie. And while on the set of the film he found a friend and fan in Depp, who later asked the Liverpool born actor to star in a music video he was directing. "I get on really well with Johnny and I did a video for him last week," he said. "He was directing a pop video for Babybird. "He phoned me up and said 'hey, how you doing' and I was like 'who's this?' and he goes 'it's Johnny'. I was like 'oh, alright lad!'... another name dropped there! "But he just said 'are you busy' and 'do you fancy doing a music video for me?' so I was like 'yeah alright'!"
