Matty Lees handed penalty notice after dismissal in St Helens victory over Salford

St Helens forward Matty Lees has been given a two-match penalty notice following his dismissal for a high tackle during their Super League victory over Salford on Thursday.

Lees, who was sent off three minutes before half-time for the tackle on Salford full-back Niall Evalds at the AJ Bell Stadium, was charged with a grade C offence by the Rugby Football League's match review panel.

Saints won 60-10, a result that leaves Justin Holbrook's side top of the Super League table with 11 victories from 13 matches this season.

The panel also issued Wakefield forward Pauli Pauli with a caution for use of the knees in his side's 24-4 defeat to Castleford on Friday night.
