WWE Raw: Paige attacks Charlotte after Divas Championship match

Heath Slater's musical number doesn't end well...

Paige failed to win the Divas Title on Raw - but did leave champion Charlotte writhing in agony.

The British Diva was granted a rematch for the gold after footage from Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view showed Charlotte's arm was under the rope when Paige tapped out to the Figure Eight.

The Norwich-born grappler fought hard in Nashville on Monday night, even administering a submission move akin to Charlotte's, but saw her championship hopes quashed when she was speared through the ropes by The Nature Girl and both competitors were counted out.

Paige got to her feet first, however, and proceeded to hurl Charlotte into the steel ring steps and lock in a PTO on the announce desk, a fate that befell Becky Lynch a few weeks ago in Manchester.

Lynch, meanwhile, suffered defeat to Sasha Banks in Music City when The Boss' Team B.A.D. allies, Tamina and Naomi, distracted the Irish wrestler and allowed Banks to win via a sneaky roll-up.

Elsewhere, Heath Slater paid the price for whacking Ryback with a guitar when he was Shell Shocked by The Big Guy, while Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper responded to their Survivor Series defeat to Kane and The Undertaker by making mincemeat of The Dudley Boyz.

Plus, The New Day swiftly reneged on their decision to hold an open challenge for their WWE Tag Team Titles when The Usos and The Lucha Dragons emerged from the locker room - a move that led to the positive-thinking trio being pummelled by the Samoan twins and the luchadores.

And, finally, Roman Reigns clobbered Sheamus, the man he will fight for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at TLC on December 13, with a steel chair.

The Juggernaut asked for a bout with Sheamus during Raw's opening moments after the Dubliner cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at Survivor Series to pinch Reigns' newly-acquired strap but was told by Triple H he would have to wait until the next pay-per-view.

The former Shield star was instead placed in a scrap against Rusev but when that clash ended prematurely due to Sheamus' pal, King Barrett, clubbing him with a Bull Hammer, Reigns launched a frenzied assault on Barrett, Rusev and Sheamus with the aforementioned chair.
